INTENSIVE courses

Standard course

Our Standard Courses are attended by students from all countries. You can expect a full language immersion. Authentic materials are used to teach the language with a more practical approach than theoretical. The objective of the courses is to help students become ready to interact in Italian in everyday life as soon as possible.

A playful teaching approach is at the core of our chosen Methodology in so far as a positive, relaxed, fun and entertaining environment is one of the conditions in which all students can feel they have a central role in the learning process.

After our opening class, we will break up into some work groups that will face different subjects: Italian songs, games, Italian history and literature, cooking and art. After we enter into a typical Italian atmosphere, we will start working on grammar; students will be split into groups that are at the same level and so they will work at there own pace with the specific programs for them.

We have language courses for all levels of Italian learning. For levels we refer to the Common European Framework: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

Standard course +

Standard Plus course consists of combining the Standard course with 2 short cultural courses a week:

  • Italy in the movies: a guided workshop, in Italian, will look at understanding an Italian film (2 hours)

This is a course in Italian culture focused on viewing classic films exclusively from Italian directors such as Fellini, Soldini, Benigni, Tornatore…

Each lesson is composed of two parts:

  • viewing the film (Monday, from 02:00pm to 16:00pm);

  • a guided workshop, in Italian, will look at understanding the film – focusing on the themes of the film, the characters and the settings and/or other issues raised about historic, artistic, literary or topical characteristics of the film. Speaking ability will be the main objective during the workshops. You must have a minimum level of A2 in Italian to register for this course (Monday from 04:00pm to 06:00pm).

Attention! For A1 level students, Italy in the movies course is replaced by Italian in games course: a course of Italian language and culture through the use of educational board games and movement activities. Speaking ability will be the main objective during the lessons (2 hours).

  • Let's take a walk in Italian: a course in Italian culture "en plein air".  An actual traveling lesson, you will stroll through the historic center of Verona or enter museums, palaces, gardens, theaters, and churches.

The lessons are even more fun thanks to a sort of ‘treasure hunt with clues’ where students can interact with locals and see the most characteristic parts of the city in a much more engaging way. The focus will be on speaking. You must have a minimum level of A2 in Italian to register for this course (Thursday from 02:00pm to 05:00pm).
